Below the surface, the reef unfolds in layers of color and motion. Branching and rounded corals rise from the seabed in warm reds, purples, yellows, and pinks. Soft corals sway gently with the current, their feathery forms creating a sense of constant movement.
Taveuni, often associated with Fiji’s Rainbow Reef, is well known among divers for its abundance and diversity of soft corals, which thrive there due to consistent currents that bring nutrients across the reef.
